Crochet Basketweave Stitch
BPdc=Yoh and draw up a loop from back to front to back around post of next stitch. (Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice.
FPdc=Yoh and draw up a hoop from front to back to front around post of next stitch.)Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook)twice.
Hdc=Half double crochet
Yoh=Yarn over hook
Foundation row: 1dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2dc). 1dc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. (50dc)
1st -4th rows: Ch 2(counts as hdc). *FPdc around each of next 4sts. BPdc around each of next 4t. Repeat from * to last st. 1 hdc in the last stitch. Turn.
5th to 8th rows: Ch 2(counts as hdc).*BPdc around each of next 4 sts. FPdc around each of next 4 sts. Rep from * to last st. 1hdc in the last stitch. Turn.
Repeat 1st to 8th rows up to 16”(40cm). Fasten off.
Cut the fabric into a 18”x18” (45cmx45) square.
Fold 3 sides of the fabric 3 times by 1/3” and iron and sew them.
Sew each piece of square crochet and fabric on 3 sides. Insert a pillow form. Sew remaining side closed. (Attach a zipper if you like.)
