Easy: This pattern uses basic stitches, basic shaping and finishing techniques

FINISHED SIZE
 is approximately 9′ height 8.5′ diameter

GAUGE (with sc)
7 rows of single crochet = 3′ but I felt like gauge wasn’t important

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES 
– Slip stitch
– Single Crochet 

– Chain 

Chain one at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch 

SUGGESTED MATERIALS
– J (6mm)
– Two 50 gr (175 m) skeins of Tube Cotton Fine by Ice Yarns

BASKET
Crocheted in the round, in closed rounds and started from the base. To begin make a magic ring/circle or chain 2
R1: work 10 sc in the magic ring or in the chain 2 space, slip stitch in the first sc and chain 1 (this is how every round will be closed). Pull the beginning strand to close the loop if you used the magic ring method. (10)
R2: Place 2 single crochets into each of the single crochet from previous round, slip stitch to the top of the first single crochet and chain 1 (20)
R3: 1 sc in each sc around slip stitch to the top of the first sc chain 1 (20)
R4: 1 single crochet in the first single crochet, 2 single crochet in the next single crochet, (repeat one single crochet in the next stitch and 2 single crochet in the next around) slip stitch to the first single crochet and chain 1 (30)
R5: 1 single crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to the first sc and chain 1 (30)
R6: 1 single crochet in the next 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc (repeat 1 sc in the next 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc stitch) slip stitch to the first sc and chain 1 (40)
R7: 1 sc in each of the next sc around, slip stitch to the first sc and chain 1 (40)
R8: 1 sc in each of the next 3 sc, 2 sc in the next stitch (repeat 1 sc in the next 3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc stitch around) slip stitch to the first sc and chain 1. (50)
R9: 1 sc in each of the next sc around, slip stitch to the top of the first sc, chain 1. (50)
R10: 1 sc in each of the next 4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc stitch (repeat 1 sc in the next 4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc stitch around) slip stitch to the top of the first sc, chain 1 (60)
R11: 1 sc in each sc around, slip stitch to the top of the first sc and chain 1 (60)
R12: 1 sc in the next 5 sc, 2 sc in the next sc stitch, (repeat 1 sc in the next 5 sc, 2 sc in the next sc stitch around) slip stitch to the top of the first sc chain 1 (70)
R 13: 1 sc in each sc around slip stitch to the top of the first sc chain 1 (70)
R14 – 31: 1 sc in each sc around, slip stitch to the top of the first sc, chain 1 (70)
R 32: 1 sc in the next 12 sc, chain 8, skip the next 8 sc, 1 sc in next 27 sc, chain 8, skip next 8 sc, finish round with a sc in each remaining stitch around, slip stitch to the first sc, chain 1 (I folded my basket in half and marked with stitch markers where I wanted my handles either way would work)
R33: 1 sc in each stitch around, including the chain 8 spaces. Slip stitch into the first sc, chain 1
R 34: 1 sc in each stitch around, finish off your work by slip sticking into the first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
This pattern used almost the entire 2 skeins of yarn.
