Change to white yarn, sc for another 24 rounds switching colour between orange and white every 4 rows. (31 rounds total)
Add stuffing to the tail (lightly stuff so the tail can still be shaped around the body then fold flat and sc across to close. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew.

Snout
Round 1: White yarn 6 sc into a magic ring (6)
Round 2: 6 inc (12)
Round 3: *inc, sc* Repeat to end of round (18)
Round 4-5: sc to end of round (18)
Sl st with first sc of previous round and fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew.

Cheek Patches (make 2)
Using white yarn ch 4, sc into 2nd ch from the hook, sc in next ch, 6 sc in final ch. Now work down the other side of the chain, sc in next ch, 5sc into next ch, slst with fist sc.
Fasten off leaving a tail to sew.

Nose
Row 1: in brown yarn ch 2, inc in the 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 2: 2 sc, ch 1, turn (2)
Row 3: 2 inc (4)
Fasten off leaving a tail to sew.

Assembly
1. Add stuffing to the snout and sew it to the front of the face. The top of the snout should be in line with the eyes.
2. Sew the ears to the top of the head. They should be placed between rounds 4 and 8 of the head. The inner corner of the ear should be in line with the magic ring and the outer corners should turn inwards slightly.
3. Sew the nose onto the center of the snout.
4. Sew the check patches on. The top should be in line with the eyes, the bottom should turn inwards towards the center of the face.
5. Using a piece of white yarn add the eyebrow details. Create long stitches, covering about 2 rounds at the inner eye. As you move towards the outer eye, gradually make the stitches shorter.
6. Use brown yarn to secure the legs to the body.
7. Pin the head to the body, making sure the red panda can stand up on its own, then sew in place.
8. Sew the tail to the centre of the back.
9. Wrap the tail around the body and add stitches to hold it in place.

Your Red Panda is now complete!
